Welcome Thank you for your interest in Cumberland County's children. We currently have 18 children who are ready to enter a loving adoptive home. The decision to add a child to your family -- whether by birth or adoption -- is certainly life-changing and the responsibilities are out of this world! These responsibilities mean a new life for you and the child. We at Cumberland County Department of Social Services want to find just the right family to meet the particular needs of each of our children who are available for adoption. A family and family life are important to all of us and especially so for the children in the child welfare system! Informational Meetings On the third Thursday of every month there is an Informational Meeting held on the conference room behind the main desk on the first floor at the Cumberland County Department of Social Services building located at 1225 Ramsey Street, Fayetteville NC. There are two meetings, one is held at Noon and the other at 6:30pm. Upcoming Meeting Dates: What are the requirements for adoptive parents? There is not a list of specific requirements.
