Work First (Cash)
Is a statewide initiative that assists families that are in a temporary financial crisis. The Work First program provides supportive services including job training, job placement assistance, retention counseling, child care, and transportation assistance to aid families in achieving self-sufficiency. Substance-abuse treatment and domestic violence counseling are available when needed. Work First provides financial assistance and medical assistance to needy families that meet state and federal requirements.
Am I eligible?
- You must be a US Citizen or qualified legal immigrant
- You must have at least one child under the age of 18 years living at home.
- Each family is assessed based on their individual situation.
